You are beautiful, my love, Being a sight to behold; And your eyes are like a dove, With wings of silver and gold. You are beautiful my love, My beloved, so delightful; Our couch is green thereof, God made you so insightful. My beloved, you are so fair, Pleasant on a bed that’s green; Intimate times we share, Thank God who made you my queen. The wood beams of our house, And the rafters are of pine; As solid as you as my spouse, I thank the Holy Divine. Copyright © 2024 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
